To do this, we require the clinical booking forms that are sent to Reservations to be completed in full. On receiving a booking from the Reservations department, the patient’s insurance policy will be checked to make sure it is valid and up to date. It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure they have contacted their insurer prior to admission. This will speed up the admissions process.
If there are any queries regarding a patient’s insurance cover, the Business Office will contact the consultant or the patient prior to admission.
Self Paying Patients
The Britannia Hospital has a range of self pay care packages developed for patients who do not have private medical insurance.
These self pay packages may be available to individuals who have other forms of non-insurance based third party sponsorship. Quotations for procedures can be obtained from the hospital manager or accounts office.
Self pay patients are required to pay for their treatment prior to or on the day of admission.
